Phil Ivey is Betting Big

It's no secret that poker players are big fans of betting. Well-known professionals are no exception. For instance, over the last few years Phil Ivey has bet millions of dollars on winning WSOP bracelets and according to rumors circulating at the 2012 World Series of Poker, he’s at it again. It is rumored that just one of Ivey’s bets is worth $900,000 should he win a single bracelet. We’re not sure who the bets are with but there are a few likely candidates.

Ivey and Daniel Negreanu had a long-standing bet that was worth $250,000 per bracelet. So if Daniel won a bracelet Ivey would owe him a quarter-million and vice versa. Perhaps Ivey and Kid Poker raised the stakes for 2012. The biggest bracelet bet Ivey has ever booked, that we know about at least, was a $5 million wager he made with Howard Lederer. To win the bet Ivey had to take down two bracelets starting from 2011 and find Lederer. It is hard to tell which one of those is easier to make.
