Anshul - 27 Oct

Day 2 :

It was a disappointing day yesterday. Started off decent, but became card dead for a while and bluff spewed a good portion.

Looking for action, and wanting to put in a good performance in the trial period I decided to not pay attention to Bankroll mgmt in the trial period and headed of to NL 0.1/0.2 Eur. Needless to say the variance was larger. I went ahead and called a couple of allins with decent draws which missed. As my stack started shortening, I started playing tighter and more aggressive, but eventually busted out. Feeling very disappointed at the moment, will be playing more solid TAG poker from tomorrow.

The preflop 3bet call with KJs is debatable, but we had an aggressive history and he had a >25% 3bet stat in the 50 hands we had played uptill then. On the flop, he would have shoved any pp, Q, high A(which is what he had in this case.) I was getting about 1.82:1 on the call and I figured I should have about 11-14 outs => 40-48% equity, so i called.

Here, this guy was playing 34:23 over about 70 hands and had a wide range opening from the cutoff. In hindsight, I believe raising the flop might have been better on such a drawy board, but I decided to flat. The turn was a brick. His 3/4 bet on the river when the flush got there with the A, I didnt feel that I could anything he would play this way. It seemed mostly a valuebet, and I didnt expect him to have him beat a good amount. So i folded.

Looking forward to day 3.
