WPT Opens up New Horizons
The idea of conquering the poker world and transforming tournament series into the most popular and prominent one does not leave minds of the World Poker Tour organizers. Thus, two new stops will be added to its roster next season. Hopes are centered in Johannesburg that hosts the first WPT poker tournament in the Southern Hemisphere. The $3,500 WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic will be opened to everyone starting October 22.
The second new stop sees the WPT make a welcome return to Canada, where the WPT has been absent since 2008. WPT Montreal with the CAD$3,300 buy-in will take place at the Playground Poker Club.
