One Success Story
On the bank of the Este River floodplain, on the outer edge of endless acres of rich farming fields, sits the city of Buxtehude, Germany. Forty thousand people live up and down the tree-lined streets, and the vast majority of them have to get their hair cut at one point or another. This is an important part of our story, to which we’ll return later, and now let's meet a young pretty lady, living in Buxtehude, whose name is Anett Sandke.
The town of Buxtehude
27-year-old Anett considers herself a typical girl. She loves shopping and sports. The only thing that distinguishes her from her friends is a passion for poker, to which she devotes a large part of her free time. Anett prefers to play on PokerStars, however, she sticks to the low limits, a place that allows her to learn without risking her all hard-earned money.
Last weekend was not exception, as Anett entered the MicroMillions $8 NLHE rebuy event with more than 5,100 other people. To her great surprise after a few hours she finished first, earning $17,000. It's the biggest poker bankroll she's ever had, and Anett is sure this money won’t be wasted. "It's such a great feeling to win such a big tournament as a woman," Anett shares her joy.

But the young German does not fall into euphoria, and knows exactly what to do with her prize. Sandke is hitting the cash out button. And there are certain reasons for that. 2 years ago Anett fulfilled her long-cherished dream, opening a beauty salon in Buxtehude. She calls it "her baby". Like any business, this kid is growing and occasionally requires new investments. Anett believes in herself, and therefore does not hide the fact that "the largest portion of the money she's going to put in her shop".
We are, in turn, very happy for Anett, who is playing on PokerStars under the screen name "netti.S1984". MicroMillions is still on the run, so every one of you has a chance to become the hero of our next post, just like Anett. Good luck at the tables.
