While PCA participants were fighting their way to the final, Crown Casino in Melbourne opened its doors to the prestigious Aussie Millions 2012. From the 12th  to 29th of January we will be enjoying the real fireworks of tournaments with various buy-ins and formats, including the Main Event and $250.000 Challenge.


The first event in this fabulous line-up was $1,100 Opening Event, which saw 274 players, taking their seats in Day 1A. 34 of those manage to get into the next round of competition. When the dust settled at the end of the night, the largest stack was Tam Truong (209.000), pursued by Alex Lynskey (208.000), Damir Alidzanovic (188.000), Joel Feldman (180.300) and Joel Dodds (139.700). Other notables who are still in the field include Andrew Hinrichsen (81,500), Grant Levy (72,900), and Jackie Glazier (68,300).


However, those who have already left the tournament should not feel upset, because the unique “repecharge” format of the event means they will be allowed a second chance on Day 1b or Day 1c.
