Played on 3 tables for a couple of hours today in the 5-10 cents short handed games as usual, had a lot of coolers with me on the losing side unfortunately. I began to tilt a bit after I was down to almost 20 euros (half the stake for the day), I decided to take a 5 minutes break and try to break even.

I took notes of some players and will go for an trap and deceptive play against these players. Slowly and steadily by winning small pots, i was able to win back some of the money i lost and felt pretty good. As i was calling off the session. I was dealt AJ on the button with a very loose and weak player on the BB. I raised 3 times BB, and was called by SB and of course the BB called immediately. The flops came A-7-9, The SB checks and The BB opened with Pot size raise, I re-raised him. And after a short pause the SB also called and as expected the BB raised all-in. I had put a note on the BB and knew for this player any pair was considered a monster, I was pretty sure My Ace pair with Kicker Jack was definitely beating him but i was definitely not sure about the SB. With lots of hesitation and praying the SB would fold, I called the all-in of the BB. 

However to my horror, the SB snap immediately went all-in. With just 10-15 cents to call, I had to call but i was pretty sure i was crushed by the SB.

To my amazement, The SB showed A-8, the BB had A-6, MY AJ was the favorite. I waited holding my breath for the turn and river to peel ( I actually love the Small time gap Godfather poker takes to show turn and river, it provides so much drama, don't you think too?). The turn was a 4.Both my opponents picked up some Straight draws and Slowly another 4 was peeled off on the river and I Punched my fist in the air, With that Pot not only did i break even from the earlier beats i had but i also made a small profit of around 7-8 euros for the day. 

It was definitely a bitter start but a sweet ending of my days session.like They say "all's well that ends well".
