Spanish Players will Start Playing Poker Online
Just recently another country - Spain opened its doors to online poker. Let's be glad for the Spaniards, who will now be able to taste the delights of the game in a separate market, cash game up to NL1000, tournaments up to €250 buy-in. The Spanish government accepted the legalization of online poker in Spain, therefore, another nation separates from the global poker market.
However, Spanish players will also face several limitations. For instance, when entering the site, each player will be required to provide his/her taxpayer identification number (TIN). This is done to ensure that all players are able to pay a tax of 24% from net income. Moreover, in cash games, the highest allowed big blind will be €10, meaning poker will only be offered up to NL1000 in Spain. The maximum allowed buy in at tournaments will be €250. The size of deposits will be also limited Deposit limits will be €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month.
Most likely, these restrictions will not frustrate Spaniards, as they have been waiting the ability to play for so long. Good news is also that from 2013, Spanish government would allow Spanish players to play against Italian and French players, who are considered "safe".
