Rafael Nadal Joins PokerStars

Not so long time ago we have written about the possible cooperation between Rafael Nadal and PokerStars. Just recently this information had been confirmed, and the parties shook hands. The seven-time French Open winner and 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist has joined Boris Becker, Fatima Moreira de Melo and Marcus Hellner on Team SportStars and from now will be able to demonstrate all his skills and dedication at the poker table.

According to press-release, Nadal will play poker in spare moments this summer while he concentrates on some big tennis action, beginning with Wimbledon from this coming Monday. After the summer, he will spend more time developing his poker skills and representing PokerStars in online tournaments, advertising campaigns and charity events.


Rafael Nadal joins team PokerStars and distributes gifts 

Due to the fact that the King of Clay is still beginning his poker career, he might need your help! Send in a video giving your best poker tip - the best one is shown each week, with Rafa giving away exclusive prizes to those videos he deems the most helpful. The winner of the contest will win an EPT Barcelona package, including the €5,300 buy-in for the Main Event.

In addition, the winner and five runners-up will receive a signed chipset with each video submission being rewarded with a $22 MicroMillions Main Event ticket.
