11.05pm Abrahams Bubbles Final Table
It was an easy call with
for Hisashi Ogi on the big blind as Ben Abrahams moved all his chips in on the small blind. Abraham’s was short-stacked and held
looking for the double up. But the board of

well and truly had him beat and he departs in 11th place. However, a fat paycheck of INR 100,000 will definitely help him get over his near-miss of an APT Asian Series Main Event final table.
Kristian Faering
10.55pm Faering and Kalia Tumble in 13th and 12th
The slew of eliminations keep on coming and there was one from each table in the form of Denmark’s Kristian Faering and India’s Pulkit Kalia.
In Faering’s hand, he shoved his 33,000 stack holding
but ran into Nikhil Maheswari’s
. The board delivered

to give Maheswari a set of kings and rail the Dane in 14th place for INR 83,000.
Kalia, meanwhile, took a big hit earlier with
against Aditya “Intervention” Agarwal’s
. Agarwal paired his ace on the flop and never looked back. A short time later, Kalia shoved for around 100,000 over Agarwal’s 13,000 UTG raise. After the call was made the race was on with Kalia’s
needing to hold versus Agarwal’s
. But a board of

gave Agarwal aces-up and railed Kalia in 12th place to pocket INR 100,000.
10.50pm Bhatija Falls in Coin Flip, Jhunjhunwala is Next
In another quick elimination, it was a flip between Pranav Bhatija’s
against Sonu’s Singh’s
with Bhatija’s tournament life on the line. The first three cards

are no good to Bhatija. Only a non-diamond ace or queen can save him but the turn
and river
sealed Bhatija’s date with the rail. He gets INR 83,000 for his efforts finishing in 15th place.
Shortly after, the Day 1B chip leader of Rishabh Jhunjhunwala goes out in 14th place to also pocket INR 83,000, but with so much action to cover we didn’t see his hand. We will see if we can track him down later to get his story.
Kanishka Sawant
10.45pm Sawant Busts in 16th
Kanishka Sawant open shoved in early position and when the action got to Ravi Goel in the middle position, he immediately re-shoves. All the other players quickly folded and Goel is pretty excited to see that he’s got Sawant totally dominated with his
over Sawant’s
.
The board comes

and Goel wins the hand with a pair of aces as Sawant goes home with a paycheck of INR 71,000 for his 16th place finish.
10.35pm Level 18: Blinds 2500/5000 Ante 500
10.34pm Miracle Man Byraju Comes Back From 1k
After doubling up another short stack and then losing an all-in preflop pot with
against
, Rahul Byraju was left with just one yellow chip equating to 1000. With ante of 500, he was of course all in the very next hand but managed to win the pot after the big blind isolated with a shove.
Another win after that and he had 17,500 in the big blind when the button player put him all. Byraju made the call and his
was in trouble against the button’s
. However, a board of

gave him a straight to take it down.
One or two blind steals later and he was up to 56,000 when he got it all in with
against Hisashi Ogi’s
. A board of

gave Byraju a full house and around `120,000 in chips. This will be a true chip and a chair story if Byraju can somehow survive and make his way to the top at tomorrow’s final table.
Manjeet Asrani
10.20pm Manjeet Asrani Eliminated in 17th
A player in early position makes a raise of 8500 and was smooth called by Sameer Rattonsey in the cutoff before big blind, Manjeet Asrani, moves all-in with his remaining 87,000 chips. The initial raiser folds and the action is back on Rattonsey who tanks for a considerable amount of time. The clock was called on him and in the last few seconds Rattonsey makes the call and sees that his
is a huge favourite against Asrani’s
.
The dealer sends out

on the board to give Rattonsey a boat and he now sits high above the rest on a stack of more than 350,000.
Sailesh Lohia
10.05pm Lohia Out Before Dinner Break
In all the excitement of the bubble hand we missed our first bustout in the money. Apparently Sailesh Lohia went out just after play was broken down to two tables. He takes home INR 71,000 and we are down to 17 players in the tournament.
10.00pm Rattonsey in the Lead
Sameer Rattonsey is now our chip leader. After the beatdown he gave our bubble boy, Rattonsey’s stack is up to 275,000 and he’s followed by Martin Nilsson on 225,000 and Rahul Byraju on 180,000.
9.50pm Cards are back in the air. Blinds going up to 2000/4000 Ante 500 (Level 17)
