Recently two portraits were added to the Women in Poker Hall of Fame. The nominees are examples of the contributions women have made to the world of poker. This year brought about 10 such nominees; however it came down to JJ Liu and Kathy Raymond.

JJ Liu, a professional poker player from Taiwan, is 7th on the Women's All Time Money List' with $2,595,841 in earnings. She is also known as the highest placing female in the WPT after finishing as runner-up to Ted Forrest at the 2007 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars for $600,000.


Kathy Raymond

Kathy Raymond is best known for her influence as an industry professional. She held every position that there is in poker during her 14 years at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. As Director of Poker Operations, she brought the WPT to Foxwoods. She left there and came to the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas and has turned that poker room into one of the premier rooms in poker.

The ceremony to induct both JJ Liu and Kathy Raymond is set for August 31st at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas.
